How do we look?

A Long Hiatus...

Yes...we still are having fun! Mostly just without pictures. I've been really negligent in not only taking pictures but also sharing them. Here are a few from some of our outings so far this fall. Between school, ballet, 2X the Fun and all the other day to day stuff we've been too busy! I'll try to be a little more diligent from now on.

We went for a drive to see the aspens and stopped at this cool place near Mt. Evans for a picnic. It was pretty. It was a really fun day!

This is a really pretty field we've found before and taken pictures in. The kids didn't like the high grass but Chase got over it when Mike was willing to throw the football with him.

This was taken at the Garden of the Gods. We took the kids to the Springs for the day.

First days of kindergarten!

We've had a very exciting week...a visit from Aunt Sharon (please move back soon, Chase misses you!) and a first day of kindergarten! Here are the pictures to prove it!

He will not put "Snow" down as you can see! He's slept with him every night since Aunt Sharon brought him.

So completely unrelated but a little funny...Kaitlyn and Chase enjoyed playing in the water yesterday and then eating dinner outside. We fed the mosquitos pretty well too. Itch, Itch, Itch...

A few pictures

The kids and I went to a pretty park this morning near Centennial Airport to watch the planes and take some pictures. I'm disappointed that some didn't focus well but overall I thought they came out cute. Chase loved the planes...it was a great morning!

New Backpacks

Thanks for the Gymbucks Grammy! We went to Gymboree yesterday and got new backpacks and lunch boxes (Chase is also wearing his new bike helmet).

Update on the new room!

We've continued our progress on the new room. I'm really excited about doing this because each project has been done by Kaitlyn and me together. We've had lots of fun! She's helped strip wallpaper, pick out bedding and today she helped me create artwork. It may look simple but don't be fooled. We spent over an hour at Archivers this morning picking out paper and then using a die cut to cut out hundreds of circles to create buttons for this butterfly picture. We then worked together to punch button holes in each one, paint the canvas and glue them to the canvas. We also sorted through real buttons to find just the pink and green ones (with help from Chase which made it a bigger challenge) and then we used glue dots to attach the buttons. We still need to hang it and then make the headboard and window covering and then we'll be pretty much done! It has been a great project that I've really enjoyed. I know I'll always remember it.

This is as good as I can do...not too creative but she was very happy.

New glasses!

Here is a picture of Kaitlyn's new glasses. They are transition lenses; she got them yesterday! I still am anxious to see how long it takes them to transition back to clear when she comes in from the sun...we haven't spent any time to speak of outside today! She's very happy with them (probably because they are Hannah Montana frames). That and because they are purple! She had a busy morning playing with Ethan, eating pizza and playing with the Wii. Chase was really, really good too. He left Kaitlyn and Ethan to their own devices for a couple hours and then joined them. It was nice to hear them all laughing and having fun! He's sleeping now and Kaitlyn's watching Tinkerbell. They are both excited to see Mike tomorrow!

Here kitty kitty!

What a great day at the zoo! Chase was excited to see the lions and he definitely got his chance! I think this was "Krueger" the lion or one of his sons. He never mentioned his name (although he sure made a lot of intimidating sounds from just beyond the glass!). All in all it was a lot of fun. Two trips to the zoo in a week; one with Nini and one with Daddy...what could be better?!

It's been a busy week between the big birthday (a day off with Daddy, Mommy and "D" and a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's), a cold, school, ballet lesson, an afternoon at the hardware store with Nini and Papa, Grammy and Grandpa visiting and a ballet recital! Here are some highlights!
