Chase had his first haircut yesterday! I was really surprised; he didn't cry or make a sound. He then finished off his lollipop in about five minutes flat! It was a happy day!


Now if I could just get Kaitlyn to eat her peas without falling asleep.

We love summer!!

We are having so much fun playing outside! I don't mind the cold weather too much but the kids and I are really loving the hot weather! We have spent everyday this month outside, washing cars with Daddy, playing in the yard, at the pool, at a carnival, at the zoo. Just name it and we've probably done it! I've posted a few of my favorite pictures from the last couple of weeks. We have also been busy growing flowers and vegetables. Katie has her first "container garden". We are growing zucchini (many, many zucchini!), tomatoes and beans. Her job is to make sure everything gets watered every morning (with a little help from me). She's doing great and enjoying watching the progress. Yesterday she went to a birthday party for her friend Ethan and next week we have parties for her cousin Drew's 5th birthday and her friend Sean's 3rd. Aside from loving playing outside, Chase has been busy crawling on his hands and knees. It took a while to make this progress but now that he's got it down he's very proud of himself. He's walking around furniture and starting to get a little gutsy. I think he'll be walking on his own in no time. YIKES!! I'm not sure I'm ready for that! Maybe he'll take his first steps for Aunt Diane in July. That would be fun!

This is my very first blog entry and I'm so excited to get started! I'm creating this blog to chronicle my two kids, Kaitlyn and Chase. Kaitlyn is three and a half and Chase is a year old. I've been married to my incredible husband, Mike for over six years. We're having a ball and enjoying this life we've created! Some days are more fun than others but everyday is a new adventure!
