The Snowflake Ball father daughter dance

I'm so excited that the dance turned out great!  I learned a lot in the process and we'll make it even better next year.  For starters, if you offer carriage rides you better make sure there's enough time/room for everyone to ride at least once if not more.  Second, if you have a dance in late January you should start finding coat racks in early October (just kidding but apparently no one wants to share a coat rack).  Finally, if you invite girls to dress up pretty, eat lots of sugar, give them flowers and good music with their friends, you can't go wrong.  Kaitlyn had a ball and I think Mike did too.  Chase had a friend over and a babysitter so he also enjoyed the evening.  My body hurts today but I think that means I got in a good workout.

I'll post more pictures as I get them.  I'm hoping we got pictures of all the decorations.  Kaitlyn took her shoes off-all the girls did really.  I was so impressed at how dressed up all the girls were.  It was really special!

For Ellie-

Thanks for reminding me that I'm a total slacker on the blog-front Ellie.  I'll post pictures if you promise to too.

Love you guys~

Now...if you could just help me figure out how to make this look pretty I'd appreciate it!

My Newest Addiction...Scrapbooking

Rich with enthusiasm, broke on funds, ideas and energy.  Happy New Year!  Very thankful to have found good friends who introduced me to scrapbooking and other creative endeavors and a very supportive family.  Not to mention a fabulous scrap partner (Kaitlyn).  Let the fun grow as quickly as my kids are!

Kindergarten Graduate!

It's official-she's a first grader! Kaitlyn graduated from Kindergarten on Thursday and officially kicked off summer. It was a great day with a school picnic in the park, the graduation ceremony and then a barbecue with good friends. Friday kicked off the weekend with Chase getting hit in the face by a swing resulting in our first shiner! He's fine but looks a little weathered. Yesterday we spent the day in Boulder just hanging out and today...well...we're just hanging out. It's been a little too quiet here today and everyone is a little bored! I guess there are worse problems though!

Daisies with Hammers!

Kaitlyn's Daisy troop did a Mother's Day workshop at Home Depot the other night. Dads came to help and it was a lot of fun! Of course we had our honorary Daisy (Chase) to help out too. He's been to way too many Girl Scout functions for being such a young guy. At least this one involved some hammer slingin'!

Happy Mother's Day!

Snowy Day Fun!

What more could you ask for on a snowy day? SHAVING CREAM!!!!! The kids thought I'd lost my mind. The hardest part was convincing them it was okay to get their hands dirty (they are Mike's kids after all)! It was very easy to clean, not a single drop hit the floor and it smelled nice! It was a win-win.
